WSOP Rolls Out $50k Depositor’s Freeroll in Pennsylvania

Eligible participants in the recently launched WSOP $50,000 Depositor’s Freeroll tournament in Pennsylvania get a shot at winning three seats for the WSOP $10,000 Main Event. The announcement of the tournament coincided with WSOP’s launch in the state following approval by the regulator last week.

WSOP Launches $50k Depositor’s Freeroll Tournament

After a successful field trial and approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, the World Series of Poker officially launched for players in Pennsylvania. WSOP launched its services last week to players in the Keystone State and did not wait to celebrate with special sign-up promotions and newly announced weekly tournaments.

Coinciding with the entry in Pennsylvan lodivip ia, the WSOP unveiled a new $50,000 Depositor’s Freeroll tournament. Players that participate in the tournament have a shot at winning a share of some $50,000. Furthermore, participants in the event have a chance at winning three tickets to WSOP $10,000 Main Event in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The tournament is available for new players who have deposited by August 15. Eligible players will receive a tournament ticket on August 18, while the tournament is set to start on August 22 at 4 pm. The players that rank first and second place will receive a $10,000 Main Event seat as an added prize. The third seat for WSOP’s $10,000 Main Event is going to be awarded via a random draw and the winner will be informed via email on August 25. Here, it is important to mention that the special offer is valid only in Pennsylvania and that the winning players cannot transfer their WSOP main event seats.

PA Customers to Enjoy New Poker 8 Software

Currently, the WSOP is running a multi-state network for customers located in Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware. With that in mind, WSOP’s player pool in Pennsylvania is going to be restricted to players located only within the state, unless the state signs an interstate gambling agreement. If the state creates or joins such an agreement, WSOP may be able to share its pool of players with Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware.

Besides WSOP, in Pennsylvania, there are two more online poker platforms: BetMGM Poker and PokerStars. Although the WSOP would need to compete with the duo, the network has been preparing for the new market entry. This is why Pennsylvania is the first state where 888poker debuts its new Poker 8 software.
